New Bedford Run Club Launching This June at Russell Park
We’re excited to announce the launch of the Strength Made Simple Run Club in Bedford — starting on 1st June.
The group will run every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30pm, meeting at the kiosk in Russell Park, and is open to both members and non-members.
The idea behind the club is simple: create a relaxed, welcoming environment where people can improve their fitness, build confidence running, and enjoy training with others.
Whether you’ve never run before, haven’t run in years, or just want a bit more structure and accountability, this is designed for you.
Couch to 5K in Bedford
The sessions will follow a Couch to 5K style progression, helping runners gradually build up over the summer with the aim of completing a local Park Run together on 1st August.
A lot of people want to get into running but struggle to know where to start. Running alone can feel intimidating, and many people worry they’re “not fit enough” to join a group.
That’s exactly why we wanted to start this.
There’s no pressure to be fast, no expectation to already be a runner, and nobody gets left behind.
Led by an Experienced Marathon Runner
The club will be led by Louise, one of our Strength Made Simple clients, who has recently completed the London Marathon.
Louise has years of running experience and understands what it’s like to start from scratch, build consistency, and train towards a goal.
More importantly, she’s brilliant at encouraging people and helping create a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.
Why We’re Starting a Run Club in Bedford
At Strength Made Simple, we’re always looking for ways to help people move more, improve their health, and feel better physically and mentally.
For some people, the gym is their thing.
For others, getting outside, chatting while moving, and having a group to train with makes all the difference.
Running is one of the simplest ways to improve fitness, reduce stress, and boost energy levels — and it’s even better when you do it with good people.
